AN OFFER TO TEACH THE CHILDREN
Come, you children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Psalm 34:11
1. David offers to teach children
a) Children must be taught
b) They can avoid sinful problems
2. He would love to teach them how to fear the LORD
a) It is natural to want to teach others
b) The word “children” may extend to older people
c) It was common practice to address students as “children”
d) Thus, anyone who seeks to learn may find his teacher address the class as his “children”

THE NATURAL DESIRE OF MAN
Who is the man who desires life,
And loves many days, that he may see good? Psalm 34:12
1. It is natural to want to have a long life
2. And to see good as much as possible
SIGNIFICANT TRUTHS TO BEAR IN MIND
13 Keep your tongue from evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:13-14
1. The use of the Tongue
a) It must be restrained
b) It must not speak that which is evil
c) It must never be used for deceitful things
2. Basic and vital things to determine
a) To depart from evil
b) To determine to do what is good
c) To seek peace
d) To pursue righteousness
3. Man’s Responsibility
a) These things must first be pre-determined as things that must be done!
b) The blessings of God are often reciprocal
i) Man must seek God’s ways
ii) He must seek after God sincerely
iii) This would be evidenced in his life’s pursuits
THE LORD’S PART
15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. Psalm 34:15-16
1. The eyes of the LORD
They are on the righteous
2.The ears of the LORD
They will hear the cries of the righteous
3. The face of the LORD
a) It will be against those who do evil
b) He will cut them off from the earth
