“My voice you shall hear in the morning, O LORD;

CONSCIOUSNESS OF WHO GOD IS

1. Meditation cultivates Consciousness of God

COMMITMENT TO SEEK THE LORD

1. Coming to the House of God Psalm 5:7

a) To seek God’s leading

b) In the presence of enemies

c) To make the path of life straight

 

CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE PRESENCE OF EVIL

1. Important not to be naïve about the wicked Psalm 5:9

a) No faithfulness in their mouth

b) Inward part is destruction

c) Their throat is an open sepulchre

d) They use flattery frequently

2. Important to pray about the wicked Psalm 5:10

a) That God would pronounce them guilty

b) That they might fall in their own counsels

c) That they might be cast out

in the multitude of their transgressions

d) The wicked have rebelled against God

 

CONSCIOUS PRACTICE OF REJOICING IN GOD

1. Rejoicing is best practised consciously Psalm 5:11

a) Those who trust in God should rejoice

They should shout for joy

b) Those who love God’s name

They should always be joyful in the Lord

2. Special Reasons for Rejoicing in the Lord Psalm 5:11-12

b) Because God will bless the righteous
