1. Personal Blessing of the LORD

Blessed be the LORD  Psalm 144:1a

2. Personal Reasons:

a) God’s involvement in training

Who trains my hand for war

And my fingers for battle  Psalm 144:1b

b) God’s protection Psalm 144:2

i) My fortress

ii) My high tower

iii) My deliverer

iv) My shield

v) The One in whom I take refuge

vi) Who subdues my people under me (enemies are in mind)

 

BLESSING THE LORD WITH A NEW SONG

1. Creating a new song Psalm 144:9

I will sing a new song to You, O God

a) Composition of a new Psalm (song)

b) Composing music for the new song

On a harp of ten strings

2. Dedicating the new song to the LORD

a) To the One who gives salvation

b) To the One who delivers David His servant from a deadly sword

 

CONCLUDING ON A NOTE OF PRAYER

1. Praying for deliverance again

Psalm 144:11

a) Enemies will always be there

b) Deliverance from God must be sought

2. Praying for the next generation

a) That the sons may be plants grown up in their youth

b) That the daughters may be pillars, sculptured in palace style

b) Sheep to multiply significantly

c) Oxen well-laden

4. Praying that the people of God may be “happy” (blessed)
