WEEKEND PASTORAL LETTER 20 June 2021

Dear Brethren,

MEDITATION
5  Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:  6  that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,

Ephesians 3:5-6

2. Gentiles

a) We are the Gentiles Paul wrote about
b) We are so wonderfully blessed by God because of the Lord Jesus and all He has done for us

3. Many do not know how to appreciate this great truth

a) On our own, we will never be heirs
b) By ourselves, we will never be partakers
c) We would not be a part of the same body
d) On our own we would be aliens outside God’s kingdom

4. Appropriate response

a) Let us take time to praise the Lord especially

i) For these wonderful blessings promised to us
ii) For this knowledge revealed to us

b) Let us seek to teach these great truths

i) Teach at a deeper level
ii) Teach people how to appreciate
iii) Teach people not to take for granted these blessings

Prayerfully,
Pastor Charles Tan
