c) Man’s life is very limited
4. The fragility of life
9 For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh.
10 The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years,
Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (Psalm 90:9-10)

THE MERCY OF THE LORD
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
18 To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them. Psalm 103:17-18

3. The Recipients of the mercy of God
a) To those who fear Him
i) This is well-taught
ii) It is emphasised
iii) It is commanded
b) To those who keep His commandments
i) The blessings of God are conditional
ii) Those who keep His commandments faithfully will be blessed
c) To those who faithfully do what God commands
i) Hearing God’s word is not sufficient
ii) Doing God’s word is expected by God
CONCLUSION
1. Mercy is badly needed in life
2. Blessings from God are just as much needed
3. The challenge is to have a life that is well-pleasing
4. Then would the Lord grant significant blessings
